Dev Raheja is a patient safety and QA consultant with over 25 years experience in aviation , medical device, and healthcare safety. Dev worked for GE Health care as Quality Assurance Manager and at Booz-Allen & Hamilton as Risk Manager. He has served as Adjunct Professor at University of Maryland for its PhD program in reliability engineering. He is trained on Perfecting Patient Care using Toyota production methods through Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiatve. Dev has also taught system safety courses at UCLA, University of Alabama, George Washington University and University of Wisconsin. He is the Fellow and former Vice President of the System Safety Society where he received the Scientific Achievement Award. He is the Associate Editor of the Journal of System Safety. He teaches creativity and innovation techniques to achieve high return on investment. Dev is the author of the books:Assurance Technologies Principles and Practices: (Wiley, Second Edition, 2006) and Zen and the Art of Breakthrough Quality Management.
Hardik Vachhrajani is Healthcare Management System Facilitator with a decade of consulting, training and research experience in the field of quality and innovation management across Asia and Middle East. He is Quality Council of India approved QMS consultant, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and is examiner for RBNQA (Indian counterpart of Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award). He has worked with more than two hundred organizations on their quality management system enhancement projects to achieve breakthrough and sustainable results. He has worked with various hospitals, nursing centers, laboratories, blood banks, medical / surgical instruments and implant manufacturers to improve their innovation and improvement capabilities using frameworks like ISO 9001, ISO 13485, Six Sigma, TRIZ and Balanced Score Card. An avid management researcher; Hardik is a doctoral scholar at NMIMS University, Mumbai. He holds considerable publication record and sits on the reviewer panel of IBSU Scientific Journal, Georgia.
